What the app sends

One thing: your approximate position — a latitude and longitude — sent to this server when you open the app, so it can return the forecast for where you are standing. There is nothing useful it could return without that.

The position is the one your watch already holds from its last fix or phone sync. The app never turns on the GPS.

What happens to it

What the app does not collect

No account, no name, no email, no device identifier, no health or fitness data, no history of where you have been. There is nothing here that could identify a person, because nothing that could is ever asked for.

Who else sees the position

Each receives a coordinate in order to answer, and nothing that identifies the watch or its owner. Their own policies govern what they do with a request.

What never leaves the watch

The hourly forecast, dew point, humidity and UV index come from Garmin's own weather on the device. They are read and drawn locally and are never sent anywhere.

Cookies and tracking

None. This server has no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party scripts. This page loads nothing from anywhere else.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing that would identify anyone of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
